CAN PEOPLE EAT WHEATGRASS TOO?

Absolutely. In fact we recommend you do. You can gain the same benefits from wheatgrass that your pet does.
We either juice the wheatgrass and drink it, or our preferred method is to cut it straight from the tray and add it to our smoothies and blend it.
It really does give you the boost you need to start your day. Go on give it a try.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I FEED MY PET WHEATGRASS?

Every day. Just like us our pets need to constantly feed their bodies with highly nutritious food to get the most benefit and to feel fantastic and alive.
1 pack with 4 trays should last your rabbit, guinea pig, chicken, ferret or several rats or mice 7-10 days. Remember it takes 10-14 days for a tray to grow to be ready to eat so stagger your sowing days or you can grow the all at once it just means the grass will keep growing taller the longer it grows.

  

 DO THE NUTRIENTS IN THE WHEATGRASS ENTER THE EGGS WHEN THE CHICKENS EAT IT?

They absolutely do. There is now evidence that has been released to support this research. THe higher the nutritional content of what the chickens eat the higher the nutritional content of the eggs. If you feed your chickens the nutrient rich wheatgrass you too will benefit with a better quality egg that they will lay for you.

  

 DOES FEEDING MY CHICKENS WHEATGRASS INCREASE THIER EGG PRODUCTION?

You bet it does. Since feeding my chickens wheatgrass regularly my egg production has increased by 20-30%. I noticed this increase in production within 4 days of them starting to eat it and their production has been up ever since.

The People behind the Product

The Pet Pasture Company is based in the Central Wheatbelt of Western Australia, Australia in
the small town of Bencubbin. Our family has been farming in the area for 100 years so
growing grain is what our family knows.
Nick and I grew up in Bencubbin and are both very passionate about where we live and what
we do. We have 4 children who will tell you the farm is the best place in the world to grow
up.
Our company started because of our passion for the grain industry. We love what we do and
we know what a valuable source of nutrition young wheatgrass is for our sheep then realised
that other animals should benefit from being able to eat it as well. We started to grow
wheatgrass to feed to our chickens. They went crazy for it and our egg production increased
within a few days, the colour of the yolks went a deep golden colour the eggs tasted so
good.
We also gave some wheatgrass to friends who had pet guinea pigs and rabbits their animals
loved it too. We even found the cat and the dog enjoyed the occasional bit of wheatgrass.
